Rift Fly Rod – More Than Just Good-Looks
The Rift series was designed with a medium-fast action that slows down the flex just a tad and allows more flex through the tip into the mid-section. We slowed down the action while increasing the modulus of the carbon making the Rift series lean, light and sensitive. Don’t worry there is still enough backbone to this rod to still make this a very versatile high performance rod. The medium action makes for great open loops allowing your line to turn over while nymphing with an indicator. This significantly reduces line tangles while indicator nymphing. The softer action also is great for dry fly enthusiast who are looking for the softest, most delicate presentation. Another solid choice that you can rely on in just about any circumstance.

Great rod handles heave streamer and double streamer rig. Great lake rod as well, able to cast 50+ yard with 30ft three fly rig and stay accurate. Good backbone able to turn big trout and carp.
I have the 10 ft 7 wt and it is now dubbed my “big fish” rod. I’ve caught pike, salmon, steelhead and catfish with it, along with one super greedy 14” crappie on a pike fly. It launches the heaviest, wind-resistant flies with ease, and roll casts like a dream. The warranty is the best in the business so I don’t have to worry about breaking the rod on monster fish. Highly recommended!
I bought the 9ft 7wt and this rod has done it all. It can throw big streamers and even delicate nymph rigs when the wind is picking up. I've unfortunately broke this rod and had to use the Streem warranty and the process is so smooth and seemless. This is a company that stands by it's products and consumers.
