Haven't had the opportunity to use my new Brooks Series 5wt Combo, but if it performs anything like the Brooks Series 9wt Combo I previously purchased, the rating will definitely not change.
Finally make to the water today. Cold, windy and rainy. Got 2 small ones. Rod came apart during a cast. I think that may have been on me not putting it together good. Has good action and decent distance on the cast. Can't wait for better weather to try again.
I have not had the opportunity to use my Brook Series Combo yet. I did borrow a similar Streem model from another angler recently and if the performance is anywhere close to the exceptional quality and handling of that rod, I will enjoy mine for years to come.
